Saab 95/96 headlight rim fix
| What you need, per headlight: three zip ties, three clip nuts, and three pan-head nylon bolts. | |
| Slip the clip-on nut over the tab on the headlight bucket. | |
| Here's how one looks when assembled. | |
| Now you have to CAREFULLY pry back the tabs in the headlight rim that hold the broken-off stub of the plastic threaded stud. | |
| Once the broken-off piece is removed, you can attach a nylon bolt LOOSELY using a zip tie. | |
| And here's how it goes together. Now you see why you have to use a nylon bolt -- it needs to be able to curve a bit as you tighten it, so a metal bolt won't work. And there you have it: not original, not factory, but it does hold the headlight securely in place, and aside from the clip nut, there's nothing to rust. |
